Denton

This is page is devoted to all things Denton, Texas, with personal accounts of  the best Denton restaurants, bars, theater productions, and music venues I’ve accumulated from my first visit 15 years ago. Thirty miles north of  Dallas,  Denton is nestled between Lewisville and Sanger of of Interstate 35.  This Texas suburb is a sleepy college town of 120,000 and host to the University of North Texas and Texas Women’s University.  Denton was my college town from 1999 – 2004 and during college, I avoided the cafeteria on weekends and spent many nights eating out, doing the college thing, and experiencing some of the best of Denton has to offer. I lived there for another year after graduating from the University of North Texas (UNT) so I was able to enjoy Denton’s uniqueness post-college as a city resident. If you are a small town connoisseur of culture  like me, you’ll appreciate the artsy quaintness and friendly attitude Denton has to offer.
